Student Musical Production
Grades 4-8 are working on a first musical at PS/IS 78Q in June (exact date TBA). Ms. Komaroff, Ms. Collins and parent, Mary Duncan-Stein have been volunteering their time to make this happen. Help is needed from the rest of the PS/IS 78Q village!
How to help:
- Approximately $800 to build our set. We also need parents to help, build, paint and supervise the kids as they will be involved as well.
- Someone to organize and be in charge of props.
- Make up
- Someone to work on costumes
- Stage tech crew
- Administrative person to help make copies and keep list of kids and responsibilities of parents and kids organized.
- Publicity/marketing person to get the word out about our show and design programs when the time comes.
** The kids are on every committee, so you will be working directly with them. Its important they have a job and feel useful.
Any help you can offer is greatly appreciated. Mary is happy to meet or speak with anyone interested in helping, to fill in on the details. Please feel free to contact Mary at email@example.com or 347-678-2726.

We need your help to care for our school's two gardens at the MS Building (next to school entrance) and inside Gantry Park (across from Rainbow Park). We grow a variety of organic vegetables, herbs, and flowers. A one-week commitment to water, weed, prune, harvest and cleanup either gardens every other day. An orientation session is mandatory for new volunteers. Volunteer spots for spring are OPEN now, spots for summer and fall will open up in mid-June. No prior gardening experience necessary. Children participation encouraged with adult supervision. If you are interested in getting more involved with the planning of the gardens, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.

Partnering up with SchoolFood, Grow To Learn, and GrowNYC’s Greenmarket to provide a nutritional testing menu during lunch period with vegetables and herbs harvested from our school garden or local farms on select days.
